Mr. Hanson was an experienced commercial real estate attorney. His practice concentrated in acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, leasing, and management of real property. He represented clients in all facets of ownership in the real estate area. He also served as counsel to commercial and mortgage banking companies in regard to their operations and financing. As an experienced real property title insurance attorney, he represented several major national title insurance companies.

Mr. Hanson has served as Florida counsel to a number of national companies in regard to their mortgage lending activities. He has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America© and holds an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Hanson is also the past Chairman of the Board of Directors for Synovus Bank in Jacksonville.

Mr. Hanson now serves Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP as a Real Estate Business Consultant.

Mr. Hanson received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina in 1968 and earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1971. He is admitted to practice in Florida. Mr. Hanson has served on the Board of Directors for the charities Bright Holidays as well as the Otis Smith Kids Foundation.
