Alessandra E. Ferrero is an Associate in the Corporate Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
Alessandra Ferrero focuses her practice on the areas of corporate and aviation financing, primarily focusing on the purchase, sale, leasing and financing of aircraft and aircraft engines, and also handling renewable energy power purchase agreements.
Ms. Ferrero earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with an honors concentration, Philosophy with an honors concentration, and Religious Studies from the University of Tennessee, where she graduated summa cum laude. She wrote her undergraduate thesis on food waste, food insecurity, and food donation liability. She received her Doctor of Law from Duke University.
While in law school, Ms. Ferrero was an articles editor for Law and Contemporary Problems, the Finance Chair for the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and a member of the Innocence Project. She worked for Duke Football, where she reviewed and evaluated the program’s sports agent contact policy from a legal perspective. Ms. Ferrero also worked at Byrd Campbell, P.A. and Wasserman, where she reviewed multi-year MLB contracts to identify patterns and formulate contract negotiation strategies, created a database of contract clauses for future reference in contract negotiations, and drafted arbitration briefs.
