About Carolyn

Carolyn Wingfield brings in-house legal experience from the energy sector to her construction practice, having served 25 years as transactional legal counsel at Southern Company affiliates Georgia Power Company and Southern Company Services, Inc. Her background includes extensive contract drafting and negotiation and transactional work in power delivery and electric generation procurement, as well as services procurement. By always working as a team member side-by-side with the technical and financial professionals, Carolyn gained practical insight into the planning and management of energy and construction projects.

Prior to her in-house experience, she worked in private practice handling commercial construction litigation. This combination of transactional and litigation background allows Carolyn to understand the business priorities that drive construction projects and help clients navigate the complex and ever-changing world of energy and construction.
