May 13, 2025 – Air Finance Journal recently interviewed Marc Latman on the Trump administration’s Section 232 investigation into whether imported aircraft and parts pose a national security risk.
Latman warned that retaliatory tariffs from key trade partners could severely impact U.S. aviation exports, noting, “These countries would likely, as China has already done, put in place reciprocal tariffs on U.S.-manufactured aircraft, aircraft engines, and aircraft parts, hurting U.S. manufacturers’ access to those countries.”
