Kade Cullefer joins Governmental Affairs Practice

ATLANTA (December 19, 2018) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that Kade Cullefer has joined the firm as Counsel in the Governmental Affairs Practice. Based out of the Atlanta office, his focus is on assisting corporate clients in working with government entities.

Forte, SGR’s chairman and managing partner. “With his extensive experience in state government and corporate law, particularly with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Kade is a significant addition to SGR’s growing Governmental Affairs Practice.”

Mr. Cullefer joins SGR’s Governmental Affairs Practice, which focuses on assisting companies with complex legislative and regulatory issues at the federal, state, and local levels of government. As Counsel, Mr. Cullefer practices general corporate law with an emphasis on governmental affairs and corporate governance. He works closely with and advises Georgia businesses of all sizes, including many Fortune 100 companies.

Prior to joining SGR, Mr. Cullefer was the Vice President of Legal for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and the Executive Director of Georgians for Lawsuit Reform. During his time as general counsel for the Georgia Chamber, he developed valuable experience and expertise in the management of corporations, including governance and compliance oversight. Additionally, in his role with the state’s top legal reform advocacy organization, Georgians for Lawsuit Reform, where he most recently led the effort to create a statewide business court in Georgia, Mr. Cullefer was responsible for providing strategic direction, policy guidance, and leadership support, while acting as the organization’s lead lobbyist.

Mr. Cullefer is a graduate of the University of Georgia and Georgia State Law School.
