ATLANTA (October 10, 2017) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce the firm served as legal counsel to Südpack Verpackungen GmbH und Co. KG (Südpack), one of Europe’s leading providers of flexible packaging solutions, in its acquisition of Seville Flexpack Corporation (Seville), a converter and provider of flexible packaging solutions.
Based in Germany with other offices and sites in France, Poland, and Switzerland, Südpack has been developing, producing and designing lid films, hard/soft films, and bags for its European customers for more than 50 years. Located in the heart of the U.S. meat and cheese industries, Seville’s Wisconsin facility features modern equipment for flexographic and rotogravure printing, storage capacity, and experienced employees. As a result of the acquisition of Seville, which includes the Oak Creek Wisconsin site, Südpack launches its expansion within the U.S. market where the key meat and cheese customer segments are concentrated.
The SGR legal team in Atlanta included Michael Kraus, Nick Rueter and Heiko Gruenwald in the Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions Practice, David Moore in the Environmental Practice, and Tom Spillman in the Real Estate Practice.
