SGR Attorney Alyson Graham Selected for 2016-2017 Philanthropic Advisor Leadership Institute Class

ATLANTA (October 27, 2016) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that Alyson Graham has been selected for the seventh class of the Philanthropic Advisor Leadership Institute (PALI), part of the Balser Professional Advisors Council.

The Balser Professional Advisors Council is collaboration between the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, and United Way of Greater Atlanta. PALI provides financial, legal and accounting professionals with training designed to better educate them on incorporating charitable planning into their professional practice.

The purpose of PALI is to deepen participants’ understanding of how values motivate philanthropic clients, to hone existing estate and income tax planning skills as they relate to charitable planning and to forge strong and lasting professional ties between the various participants. The PALI class is comprised of 20 professionals from the fields of accounting, financial services, insurance, law and wealth management.

Ms. Graham is an associate in the Private Client Services Practice of SGR. Her practice focuses on individual and multigenerational estate planning and tax planning, including the preparation of wills and trusts, charitable giving, estate and trust administration, and family business succession planning. She is experienced in a wide variety of estate, tax and business planning matters, specializing in sophisticated estate, gift, GST and income tax planning and estate administration. Prior to moving to Atlanta, Ms. Graham served on the Board of Directors for WomenSource, a non-profit organization serving women of Northeast Georgia. She also served on the Planned Giving Committee of the Boys and Girls Club of Hall County.
