First Year Law Student (Spring)
The hiring of first year law students is a very important factor in the recruiting process for the Firm. For years, we were one of the very few Atlanta-based law firms that offered to hire students in their first year.
Due to the limited number of firms that hire first year law students and the limited number of available positions, this untapped resource of candidates has proved to be a very important part of our Spring Program. We recruit the top students for our program and, by providing such a strong program following their first year of law school, consistently attract those same candidates to return following their second year and for permanent positions following graduation.
We currently have several associates and one partner who began their careers with SGR as first year law students. First year candidates are hired during the spring months as they are not, under NALP guidelines, allowed to participate in the fall recruiting process.
