Timing of Offers
Several days after each of the Recruiting Program Weekends and every other week during the Fall, the Recruiting Committee meets to discuss candidates and make decisions on summer associate offers.
Once decisions on offers of summer employment are made, a member of the Recruiting Committee contacts the selected candidates by phone, then follows up with a formal letter of employment. Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP adheres to all the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) Guidelines with regards to principles for employers and general standards for the timing of offers and decisions.
If you receive an offer, do not lose touch with SGR for the remainder of your interviewing and decision-making process. During the interview season, you may recognize issues or have questions that might not have been addressed during your meetings with SGR. We strongly encourage you to develop a connection with your on-campus interviewer, someone you met during the call back or an alumus and maintain a dialogue regarding your deliberations. They will be happy to provide additional information and advice. Whether you choose our Firm or not, tell them why. We sincerely value your input.
