Ms. Burgess’ practice primarily focuses on securities and corporate law representation of publicly traded companies. Ms. Burgess has experience in various corporate transactions, including the representation of issuers and underwriters in public and private offerings, and routine securities reporting and compliance matters.
Ms. Burgess received her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994, where she was a Armstrong World Industries Minority Scholar and Senior Class Marshall. She earned her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from North Carolina Central University Law School in 1998, where she was a North Carolina Board of Governors Scholar, a Wake County Board Association Scholar and Editor-in-Chief of the North Carolina Central University Law Journal.
Ms. Burgess is admitted to practice in the States of Georgia, New York and Pennsylvania.
