His main area of practice is in representation of product manufacturers and distributors both in court and before regulatory bodies.
Mr. Bumann began trying cases in 1988 and since then has tried cases all over the United States. Mr. Bumann focuses on products liability, commercial and equine law issues. Mr. Bumann specializes in assisting clients in achieving their litigation, commercial and regulatory goals.
Mr. Bumann received his B.S. degree in Political Science from Georgia Southern College in 1984 where he was on the Dean’s List and a member of the Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society. He earned his J.D. degree from Georgia State University College of Law in 1987 where he was on the Moot Court and Honor Court.
Mr. Bumann served in the United States Coast Guard from 1976 — 1983 as a rescue helicopter air crewman. In 2004 he reenlisted in the Georgia State Defense Force (State Guard) where he attended Officer Candidate School and was the class Honor Graduate. He is currently a Captain and serves as Company Commander of a military security unit.
Mr. Bumann and his wife, Karan, breed and show Paint and Pinto horses. Mr. Bumann is a former American Pinto Horse Association Director for Georgia and has served on the Association’s Shows and International Competitions Committees.
Mr. Bumann is Judge pro tem of the Municipal Court of Monticello, Georgia and served on the Jasper County Board of Tax Equalization from 2002-2008.
