Since joining the firm in 1997, Mrs. Oliver has served as general counsel to a number of the firm’s long-standing clients, providing assistance with and support for their litigation and day-to-day business needs. Mrs. Oliver has conducted and participated in numerous bench trials, jury trials, arbitrations, mediations and appeals.
Mrs. Oliver’s varied practice includes extensive experience in complex business and commercial litigation, including business torts, creditor’s rights, fraud, contractual disputes and property rights. Mrs. Oliver has defended actions brought under the federal Truth-in-Lending Act, as well as federal and state RICO laws. Mrs. Oliver has additional experience in disputes arising in the real estate development and land-use arena.
Mrs. Oliver, a native of North Carolina, received her B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1994. In 1997, she received her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law, where she served as the Associate Legislative Editor for the Georgia State University Law Review.
Mrs. Oliver has been recognized by her peers as a Georgia Super Lawyer, Rising Star. She is a member of the Georgia Bar, the American Bar Association and the Atlanta Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in the State of Georgia.
