Mr. Ivezaj’s practice is concentrated in the areas of commercial aircraft sales, acquisitions, leasing and finance.
Mr. Ivezaj has represented many U.S. and non-U.S. commercial airlines and commercial aircraft lessors in variously structured transactions relating to the purchase, sale, leasing and/or financing of new and used commercial aircraft, including transactions on behalf of airlines for the financing of the purchase of new aircraft from aircraft manufacturers. Mr. Ivezaj’s experience extends to complex cross-border financing and leasing of U.S. and non-U.S. registered and operated aircraft and engine assets.
Mr. Ivezaj has developed significant expertise in the area of pre-delivery payment financing for new commercial aircraft purchases, most recently in connection with the purchase of Airbus and Boeing aircraft. Mr. Ivezaj customarily represents aircraft purchasers in such transactions and has worked with major lender participants in this niche, including The Royal Bank of Scotland, HSH Nordbank and BNP Paribas. In March 2007, Mr. Ivezaj spoke to members of the ABA’s Aircraft Finance Subcommittee on matters relating to aircraft pre-delivery payment financings during the Subcommittee’s quarterly meeting held in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Ivezaj received his B.A. degree in accounting from Michigan State University in 1997. He earned his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Mercer Law School in 2000, where he was the editor-in-chief of The Mercer Law Review.
