Megan L. Richards
Megan Richards is an associate in the Tax Section of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
Her primary focus is on estate planning and wealth protection, including the drafting of wills and trusts, estate administration and the preparation and filing of estate tax returns. However, her practice includes many aspects of income tax planning, executive compensation, employee benefits and tax exempt organizations. Ms. Richards is also a member of the Firm’s Sustainability Practice Group, where she advises clients on the tax incentives available for businesses implementing “green projects and practices, such as constructing “green” buildings and utilizing “green” energy resources.
Ms. Richards received her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, in History from California State University Long Beach. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Tulane Law School where she was a member of the Order of the Coif. She received her LL.M in Taxation from the University of San Diego.
Ms. Richards is a member of the American Bar Association and the Junior League of Atlanta. She is admitted to the Georgia and California State Bars.
