Though his practice is concentrated in the area of Construction Law, he also represents clients in complex commercial matters.
Mr. de St. Aubin’s practice focuses on resolving both national and international disputes through arbitration, mediation and the courts. Mr. de St. Aubin has handled matters involving state and federal government agencies and has tried cases before administrative tribunals, such as the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals. Mr. de St. Aubin has worked on matters involving design deficiencies, bid disputes, surety law, construction defects and project mismanagement.
Mr. de St. Aubin lectured on trends in Public-Private Project Development in June 2000 at a seminar hosted by the Construction Education Management Corporation titled “Harnessing Technology & Utilizing Intranet/Internet-Based Communications Solutions to Manage Construction Projects and Claims.”
Mr. de St. Aubin has co-authored five articles for Construction Business Review, titled “Minimizing the Risks of Foreign Construction Contracts,” “The Risks of Litigating with Foreign Companies,” “Fighting City Hall and Making Them Pay: Recovery of Attorneys Fees Under the Equal Access to Justice Act,” “The Advantages and Disadvantages of Design-Build Contracting” and “Owners Perspective: Allocating Contract Administration Duties and Responsibilities between Construction Managers and Architects.”
A native of Atlanta, Mr. de St. Aubin received his B.A. degree in English from Wake Forest University in 1989. He received his J.D. degree from the University of Mississippi in 1993, where he served as Symposium Editor of the University of Mississippi Law Journal. In addition, Mr. de St. Aubin was a member of the Moot Court Board and served as an Instructor in the first-year legal writing program.
Mr. de St. Aubin is active in the Atlanta community, having been selected as a member of the Buckhead Business Association’s Leadership Development Program and Outstanding Atlanta. He is admitted to practice in Georgia and is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association.
