Her main practice areas are commercial and secured lending and representation of debtors, commercial lenders and other creditors in bankruptcy cases.
Ms. Rissmiller has represented lenders and factors in connection with both the making of new loans and in working out distressed loans.
As a member of the firm’s Air Transport Group, she has had an important role in the representation of Skybus Airlines, Inc., as a debtor in possession in its chapter 11 case in the District of Delaware, and has assisted airline clients in financing the acquisition of an air freight company and in securing holdback obligations under credit card agreements.
Combining her deep commitment to public service and her passionate devotion to animals, Mc. Rissmiller counts among her various pro bono clients the Humane Society of Forsyth County.
Ms. Rissmiller received her B.A. degree, cum laude, in International Relations from Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. She earned her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Mercer University.
Ms. Rissmiller is a member of the Georgia Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers, and the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation.
