James (Harry) H. Morgan, Jr.

Harry Morgan is a Partner in the Tax Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.

He has extensive experience in personal tax planning for highly compensated individuals, estate planning and administration and corporate matters for publicly and privately held companies.

Mr. Morgan is a member of the American and Atlanta Bar Associations, the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Estate Planning Council, the Fiduciary Section of the State Bar and is a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He has served as chairman of the Fiduciary Section of the State Bar of Georgia and as co-chairman of the State Bar of Georgia committee that redrafted the Georgia trust laws. He was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® for Trusts and Estates (2007-2011), as one of the Georgia Super Lawyers for Estate Planning & Probate (2004-2011), a 2009 and 2010 FIVE STAR: Best in Client Satisfaction by Atlanta magazine, a member of Who’s Who in Strathmore’s Registry and Global Networks for Outstanding Professionals, a Top Attorney in Georgia by America Registry, LLC and as one of Georgia Trend magazine’s Legal Elite in 2008.

Mr. Morgan received his B.A., LL.B. and LL.M. degrees in Taxation from Emory University, where he was a member of the Bryan Society and the Journal of Public Law. He was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1964 and Florida Bar in 1965.
