James (Harry) H. Morgan, Jr.
Harry Morgan is a partner in the Firm’s Tax Section.
He has extensive experience in personal tax planning for highly compensated individuals, estate planning and administration and corporate matters for publicly and privately held companies.
He received his B.A., LL.B. and LL.M. degrees in Taxation from Emory University, where he was a member of the Bryan Society and the Journal of Public Law. Mr. Morgan was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1964 and Florida Bar in 1965.
He is a member of the American and Atlanta Bar Associations, the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Estate Planning Council, the Fiduciary Section of the State Bar and is a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. Mr. Morgan also has served as chairman of the Fiduciary Section of the State Bar of Georgia and as co-chairman of the State Bar of Georgia committee which redrafted the Georgia trust laws. He has been voted one of the Best Lawyers in America in Trust and Estates. In 2008, Mr. Morgan was recognized as one of Georgia’s “Elite Lawyers” by Georgia Trend magazine.
