David M. Applegate

David Applegate is an associate in the Employment Law Section of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.

Mr. Applegate has experience in litigating employment discrimination and employment contract matters.

Mr. Applegate received his B.A. in Psychology from Vanderbilt University in 1999. He earned his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida, where he was editor-in-chief of the Journal of Law & Public Policy.

From 1999 to 2003, Mr. Applegate was a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy.

Mr. Applegate is a member of the Florida Bar and Jacksonville Bar Association and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
