He concentrates his practice in the areas of preparation and prosecution of patent applications for electrical, electro-mechanical and mechanical inventions, trademark applications, patent and trademark infringement opinions and he advises clients on the protection of intellectual property.
Mr. Holland received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama where he was a member of the Eta Kappa Nu Electrical Engineering Honor Society. He earned his Juris Doctor, from The University of Alabama School of Law in 1997. He additionally received a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2002.
Prior to practicing law, Mr. Holland was a co-op electrical engineer for the Department of Defense in Fort Meade, Maryland.
Mr. Holland is a member of the Alabama and Tennessee Bars and is registered to practice before the Patent & Trademark Office. He is also a member of the Intellectual Property Section of the American Bar Association.
Certifications of Specialization are available to Tennessee attorneys in all areas of practice relating to or included in the areas of Civic Trial, Criminal Trial, Business Bankruptcy, Consumer Bankruptcy, Creditor’s Rights, Medical Malpractice, Legal Malpractice, Accounting Malpractice, Elder Law and Estate Planning.
