Bruce J. Fletcher

Bruce J. Fletcher is Counsel in the Jacksonville office of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.

Mr. Fletcher concentrates his practice in zoning and land use, government relations and commercial real estate-related litigation, including commercial landlord-tenant disputes, eminent domain and land use litigation.

Mr. Fletcher has been active in a variety of community and civic affairs in Jacksonville. He served on the Mayor’s Growth Management Task Force and served two terms on the Jacksonville Planning Commission, including a term as chairman. He also served as chairman of the Planning Commission’s Site Review Subcommittee. Mr. Fletcher is a registered lobbyist with the City of Jacksonville. As a Trustee of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce, he is active on the Government Affairs Standing Committee.

Mr. Fletcher earned his B.S. degree in finance in 1980 from the University of Florida where he was a member of Florida Blue Key and Omicron Delta Kappa. He earned his J.D. degree in 1983 from Stetson University College of Law and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1984. Mr. Fletcher has achieved an AV rating from Martindale-Hubble, the highest rating attainable for legal ability and professional ethics. Mr. Fletcher is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Middle, Northern and Southern Districts of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals 11th Circuit.
