Deana received her B.A. in Political Science and Economics from McGill University in 1997, and her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2001. Loyola Forum of International Law published two articles by Deana, entitled International Adoption and International Human Rights Cases in United States Federal Courts.
Prior to joining Smith, Gambrell & Russell, Deana was associated with Bainton McCarthy LLC, where she practiced commercial litigation. Deana also has various experience in the public sector, having served as staff attorney and director of the Fair Housing Program at a New York City based not-for-profit organization.
Deana is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New York, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Deana is active in several civic organizations and she currently serves on the Board of Directors for the YWCA of Queens.
