Gerdau Ameristeel Acquisition
Smith, Gambrell & Russell attorneys closed on a deal for Gerdau Ameristeel involving the acquisition of a controlling interest in a newly formed joint venture with Pacific Coast Steel, Inc. and Bay Area Reinforcing. The new venture will be called Pacific Coast Steel.
Pacific Coast Steel and Bay Area Reinforcing are one of the country’s largest reinforcing steel contractors. Gerdau Ameristeel is the second largest mini-mill steel producer in North America.
