SGR Franchise Practice Group Helps Launch “Telephone Doctor” Franchise System
In December 2001, SGR’s Franchise Practice Group helped Telephone Doctor Franchising Company, LLC launch its new franchise system. Telephone Doctor began offering franchises in January 2002. The Franchise Practice Group prepared Telephone Doctor’s franchise offering documentation and provided Telephone Doctor with legal and business advice and guidance. The franchise offering documentation included Telephone Doctor’s Uniform Franchise Offering Circular and its Franchise Agreement. The Franchise Agreement includes: (i) incentive targets; (ii) an option for the franchisee to purchase additional franchises; and (iii) agreements that protect Telephone Doctor’s rights with respect to the franchisee’s telephone listings, internet addresses, and web sites.
The materials will allow Telephone Doctor to sell franchises for businesses that offer training in telephone and customer service skills through the sale of videotapes and the delivery of workshops and training seminars.
Telephone Doctor is owned by Telephone Doctor, Inc., and Franchising Concepts, LLC. Telephone Doctor, Inc. has provided training for telephone and customer service professionals since 1978. Franchising Concepts, LLC pools the talents of David Deutsch and Michael Lassiter, two established franchise professionals, and provides marketing and systems-development services to the franchising industry.
