SGR Air Transport Industry Group Completes $4 Billion Airline Purchase for AirTran Airways
Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP attorneys were the lead counsel to AirTran Airways in one of the largest aircraft orders of 2003. In a deal completed on July 1st, with the Boeing Company to add six 717’s to its fleet and take delivery of 50 737’s by 2008. The total order, for more than 100 planes, is valued at several billion dollars. AirTran intends to take delivery of the first plane in the 100+ aircraft order in 2004.
